The AL 1500 is designed to speed up measurement of distortion, SINAD, frequency response and S/N ratio in radio sets stereo amplifiers, tape recorders and other audio and equipment.

Measurement of the total harmonic distortion, THD, can be made simultaneously for two channels at 400Hz or 1000Hz.
In use, the input signals may be at either 400Hz or 1kHz since automatic, frequency selections applied during measurements.

Measurement of the SINAD can be measured at 1000Hz.

An advantage of this instrument is the ability to measure distortion and SINAD even when there is a small variation in the input signal level.

This instrument can be used as not only level meter for signal inputs, 10mV 30Vrms but also frequency counter, in the 20Hz to 100KHz band.

With 3 digits delta dB display and 4 digits counter display, frequency response and Signal / Noise ratio can be measured.

CCITT psophometric weighting filter is made it possible to measure various (noise, S/N and etc.) radio equipment specification.

Level, distortion or SINAD and frequency is simultaneously measured.

No need for initial input level calibration and automatic switch over input frequency, 400Hz or 1000Hz. Total harmonic distortion is indicated without regard to "AC hum".

On option, a single-frequency filter in the 300Hz to 3KHz range can be included for total harmonic distortion or for harmonic distortion measurement.
